Temperatures at the weekend are expected to hit 30 degrees Celsius. According to forecasts by the Meteorological Office at Malta International Airport, this week’s temperatures are expected to go up at the weekend, and it will feel like 31 degrees Celsius.
The UV index will be 10, and anyone planning on a swim should ideally take precautions to avoid sunburn as well as endangering his or hear health. The lowest temperature at night will be between 19 and 20 degrees Celsius, and the wind is expected to drop with each passing day.
In fact the Meteorological Office is warning of strong winds from the East to the Southeast on exposed areas of the Maltese Islands, this warning being valid until 10.00 p.m. The wind will drop, however, and will be Force 2 to 3 at the weekend, which means that the weather will be more amenable for those wishing to go for a swim or to relax near the sea.
